I began my retail business career in the supermarket industry at 16 years of age working at Waldbaum’s Supermarket in Brooklyn, New York. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Brooklyn College while working full time for Waldbaum’s. I worked in various positions at store level including clerk, department manager and store director.

In 1993 I joined Glass Gardens, a member of Wakefern Food Corp. It was at the Glass organization that I expanded my knowledge of the industry in the role of District Manager. This allowed me to refine my skills in both operations and merchandising.

In 2003, I joined Zallie Supermarkets, Inc. as the Director of Non-Perishables in which I oversaw Grocery, Health & Beauty Care, Non-Foods, Dairy, Frozen, Computer-Generated Ordering (CGO), Store Inventory (SI), Receiving and Scanning, later being promoted to the Director of Operations.

In 2020 I was promoted to Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Zallie Family Markets and tasked with leading the combined operations of our 11 stores. In 2023, I was promoted to President of the organization.

I reside in East Brunswick, New Jersey with my wife Donna and emphasize the importance of work-life balance. I enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren. I am passionate about traveling and spending time at the beach.
